Welcome to the new and improved Bamcatart.com! 2015 has been full of so many new and challenging projects for me. So far this year I’ve applied to several national illustration competitions and won an Honorable Mention. I’ve applied to dozens of calls for art and had my work shown in Los Angeles, New Mexico, and several galleries in the Greater Boston Area. I’ve failed more times than I can count, and I’ve gained so much wisdom from my attempts.
I wanted to bring you to a new place to view my art that’s not only easier to navigate, but easier to update, making it simpler to share these exciting projects with you. Sometimes we’re so stuck looking at the next deadline that we forget to celebrate accomplishments along the way. This blog and this site will make it easier to keep you in the loop! (And don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter below!)
On top of it all, this summer, Allison Bamcat became a registered small business in Massachusetts, making it official! With this, I’ve been working insane hours on a collection of handmade bags and pouches featuring my painted patterns and illustrations. Everything about the materials and silhouettes was chosen for function and centered around utilizing vendors in the USA. I’m proud to say my products are Made in the USA. Please check them out at my new shop, www.bamcatshop.com !! (Save $5 on your first order with code GRANDOPENING)
Look for me at this year’s Chrismukkah Holiday Fair in the South End of Boston (December 4-6), as well as at the Piano Craft Gallery’s ART100 event, opening Saturday, December 5th. I’ll have six paintings on display and for sale at this event, showcasing local artists around Boston.
Thanks for being here for the fresh new start of Bamcatart.com and I look forward to what 2016 holds! Cheers, guys.
